Community guide · Montgomery County
A small, walkable borough with its own downtown and train station, surrounded by Lower Merion.

Narberth is a borough in Montgomery County: its own municipality, entirely surrounded by Lower Merion Township. It has a compact downtown along Haverford and Forrest avenues next to the Narberth train station.
Most homes are within walking distance of the station and downtown. Narberth is part of the Lower Merion School District.
Early-20th-century single homes and twins with porches on small to mid-sized lots, a few apartment buildings, and the Narbrook Park Historic District, a planned early-20th-century neighborhood.
Narberth was largely built out in the early 20th century, so most homes are porch-front single houses and twins in Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival and Arts and Crafts styles. Narbrook Park, laid out around a shared green, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Narberth is its own borough, so taxes, permits and services come from the borough rather than Lower Merion Township.
