A Main Line town with a Lancaster Avenue downtown, two rail lines, a hospital and a college.

Bryn Mawr is a community spread across Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County and Radnor and Haverford townships in Delaware County. Its downtown runs along Lancaster Avenue near the Bryn Mawr train station.
Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr Hospital, the Ludington Library and the Bryn Mawr Film Institute are all in town, and Harriton House, an 18th-century stone house and museum, is nearby.
Victorian and early-20th-century single homes and twins near the station, larger stone and Tudor houses on the side streets, and condominiums and apartments close to Lancaster Avenue.
Bryn Mawr mixes walkable blocks near the station with larger lots a few minutes away. Close to Lancaster Avenue you will find twins, small apartment buildings and condominiums; farther out, stone colonials, Victorians and Tudor Revival houses on deeper lots.
A Bryn Mawr address can be in any of three townships and two counties.
The college, the hospital and two rail lines support steady rental demand for apartments, twins and converted houses near the downtown. Check rental licensing, occupancy limits and whether a multi-unit use is legally permitted before you buy.
